For the past 5 days I have been editing my novel, The Silver Heart. I had sent the book back to my editor, but I sent the wrong copy to her. I went back and put my heart into the book and made some changes that was not the way I wanted. It was funny because I wrote the book, but when I stopped to think about the book I wanted my readers to fall even more in love with the book and to love the characters even more. I filled in some holes in the story, added some details on the events and added some dialogue between the characters.
The Silver Heart is about a young girl who lives in Ohio, has a love for horses and works for a state horse organization. She ends up taking a job with the American Quarter Horse Association and moves to Texas. The book goes through the loves of her life and the people who are part of her “family”. Horses are in the book of course because she could never be doing anything without horses involved. She ends up living on a ranch and helps them with their marketing and involvement in events like the All American Quarter Horse Congress.
The American Quarter Horse Association has approved us using their name, events and organization in the book, we have an original we are using from Nashville artist Lee Gibson with this book called “Long Slow Night” and Montana Silversmiths are doing a special release of a sterling silver heart necklace for this book. It will be released for sale when the book is published. We are excited about everything going on around this project.
Hope everyone has a great weekend and travel safe!
